The network's launch is backed by a private sale of 807.5 million ARC tokens at $0.30 each, raising $242.2 million in gross proceeds and establishing a $3 billion fully diluted valuation.
Key integrations include BlackRock's $2.2 billion BUIDL money-market fund and a planned DTCC connection targeted for the second half of 2027. Yet, beneath the press releases lies a stark architectural boundary that leaves users completely exposed to application-level failures.

Building on this strategic layout, the structural design of Arc's consensus mechanism reveals a deep alignment with traditional financial risk-management protocols. The network operates on a specialized consensus engine utilizing a permissioned Proof-of-Authority model. Under this framework, a rotating validator proposes a block, and the validator set votes in a multi-stage process. Deterministic finality is achieved only when a supermajority of the validator set pre-commits to a block.
Deterministic finality means a transaction is mathematically guaranteed to be irreversible once written to the block, eliminating the "probabilistic" waiting times seen on public ledgers. This mechanism ensures that transactions cannot be reorganized or reversed at the consensus layer, satisfying a critical requirement for institutional clearance.
However, the crucial distinction lies in the separation of powers. If a major tokenized fund or application deployed on the network suffers a smart contract exploit, the institutional validators will continue to finalize blocks perfectly, completely insulated from the financial fallout. The user is left holding the bag, realizing too late that institutional validation does not equal institutional custody or insurance.
